ZT The Golden Barcelona Hotel was designed for those who are sensitive to sustainability. It is a benchmark hotel for all those who want to be active in achieving a better world. Our mission is to be a benchmark in sustainable tourism, which is reflected in our facilities, service, and quality policies.

Our environmental awareness is also evident in the design of the rooms, which feature the following amenities:

Low battery consumption locks
RFID cards - Green Cards, which turn the air conditioning on and off by detecting presence in the room.
Window opening detector that will automatically turn off the air conditioning.
Eco-friendly amenities.
Double-flush toilet, as well as a grey water management facility.
Special faucets that improve energy efficiency (hot and cold) with savings of up to 50%.
Special bins to facilitate recycling.

Building

The building's construction features enhanced thermal and acoustic insulation—thanks to the combination of polyurethane and mineral wool—greater thermal control through the use of special woodwork and glazing, as well as motion detectors, and an exterior coating of photocatalytic paint, which purifies the air and eliminates allergens and air pollutants. It also features photovoltaic panels for its own electricity generation. All these physical characteristics of the building, combined with the hotel's amenities, have earned the establishment an A energy efficiency certification—the highest rating awarded by Barcelona City Council—at the time of its construction.
